The Great Art Quest

This year, we have been very lucky to have taken part in ‘The Great Art Quest’ run by Reading Museum. We have enjoyed working creatively around a story to develop the ideas we have. We have made clay boats, re-created a piece of artwork, made shadow puppets, came up with our own mythical stories as well as using our amazing acting skills to make our stories come alive. Here are a few pictures from the sessions:

As part of our WWI topic, we have been exploring a huge variety of artefacts to help us research what the war was like. We were lucky enough to have been given some resources from Reading Museum to borrow. Here are some pictures of us exploring and having fun:

Reading Museum Art Trip

On Thursday 21st Jan we visited the Reading Museum! We played games, studied Art work and learned a lot. We can’t wait for Mr Affleck’s assembly and the art project we are starting. Keep visiting for more updates!

Our topic this term is ‘The Wonder of Water’, in D.T. we have been looking at the different types of bridges. We have learnt that there are four different types: Hanging, Beam, Arch and Cantilever. Can you identify which bridges we have constructed in the pictures below??
